Personal

I’m a wife to Jack, a mummy to our little boy Jos and a dog Mum to our red lab Ruby. My favourite thing to do to unwind is to head out on a long dog walk in the fresh air (usually winding up at a country pub). I’m also really into indie rock music and I’m a huge Sam Fender fan.

How I landed my dream job

After studying photography at diploma level, I fell in love with documentary style photography and began my Orange Ivy journey in 2022. Living so close to the breathtaking wedding destination that is the Lake District, I dived right into exploring lots of incredible venues. Since then I have photographed hundreds of weddings, travelled to places such as Iceland and Barcelona and now am living out my ultimate dream of being a Lake District Wedding Photographer.

Documenting weddings isn’t just about being able to work a camera, but about being good with people. As an outgoing person, my favourite part about my job is meeting new people with their own unique stories to tell. I love taking the time to get to know each couple and learn what brought them to their wedding day with a lot of couples not just being clients but becoming friends.

I’m such a huge believer in documentary style photography and I work best when I can blend into the situation and shoot away with minimal interference, letting you be in the moment. Basically, in the nicest way possible, just ignore me! I will become a fly on the wall and capture moments you didn’t even notice were happening. My main aim is that you spend as much time enjoying the day you spent so long planning while I turn those moments into memories for you.
